Agile (not just) for coaches

where Solution Focus and Scrum meet

The movement of agile software development was started almost twenty years ago by a group of “organizational anarchist” to create an alternative for the traditional waterfall model of software development, and also for the irrational Dilbertesque corporations. Today agile is no longer an anarchist alternative but the very essence of being effective, competitive and client centered.

The two day workshop will provide you with practical experience of the ways agile software development and agile organizations work. While playing around with the concepts through simulations and discussions we will also explore the useful similarities and stirring differences between agile and Solution Focus.

Main topics will be:

  • software development before agile (Waterfall, Royce, UP)
  • Here comes the Agile Manifesto
  • A deeper look into Scrum: roles, ceremonies, retrospectives
  • Scrum Simulation
  • What else is out there? (Kanban, XP)
  • Scaling beyond the team: Scrum of Scrum, LeSS, Scrum@Scale

This workshop is for you if you wish to…

  • work as an agile coach in the future
  • have a hands-on experience of agile – without learning to code
  • improve your communication with your colleagues, other organizational domains and /or clients using agile methodology
  • experiment with agile and it’s methods and tools in your work as a leader or a consultant
